Cells do have a life span. It depends on the type of cells. Since the human body has different types of
cells each type has a different life span. Nerve cells can last as long as the human, red blood cells can live for
four months which equals 120 days in the human body, and epithelial cells live for only a few days maybe
a month or so. Some cells like skin cells that live on your skin can die when you scratch yourself.
Most cells don't live for too long. That is why cells work fast and do their job when they have to. Most
cells live anywhere between a few days to a few months. Cells don't seem to have an especially long lifespan.
Cells lifecycle also comes into play. Their life cycle consits of different parts that allow them to live
and fuction. Their life cycle is simiar to their lifespan. It goes on and finally when it reaches an end the cell is created
or dead. Dead cells are of no use to the body so they are dissposed of. A cells lifespan definatly depends on the type of
cell.
Below is a picture of a cells lifecycle.
